About this deal

The Corte Giara wine estate, Naiano, stretches across an area of 33 hectares, and is located right in the centre of Bardolino Classico. Personal data will be communicated to the third parties mentioned in paragraph “Communication of personal data”. A good Bardolino red wine, however, has no need for an award: The finesse of this fine wine simply speaks for itself. Corte Giara Bardolino DOC is a delightful Italian red wine made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes.

profiling activities carried out to analyse your personal preferences, interests, purchasing behaviour, and contact you for marketing purposes. Made from no less than 10 different grape varieties - a mix of 30% red grapes (Corvina, Rossanella, Rondinella, Molinara) and 70% white grapes (Fernanda, Moscato, Trebbianello, Trebbiano, Garganega, Tocai), co-fermented, with skins for 10 days, this is a wine that is almost impossible to define. According to the 2018 procedural guideline the Corvina variety represents between 35% and 95 % of grapes used for production. In 2018 the Protection Consortium Partner’s meeting approved the introduction of three Subgroups already known in the nineteenth century: “La Rocca” (central zone of the lake shore) ,“Montebaldo” (northern piedmont zone) and “Sommacampagna” (southern moraine hills). The brand wanted to attract young wine lovers, as their wines were designed with a class and crispiness too woo them.It included sixteen cities of the Venetian shore: Bardolino, Garda, Lazise, Affi, Costermano, Cavaion Veronese, Torri del Benaco, Caprino, Rivoli Veronese, Pastrengo, Bussolengo, Sona, Sommacampagna, Castelnuovo, Peschiera and Valeggio sul Mincio. It has a dry and sapid taste, lightly bitter but harmonic and fine, of great quality and sometimes depending on the settling time it could be lightly sparkly.

While respectful of their past, Bertani strives towards innovation, using progressive techniques and equipment allied with extensive experience and a deeply felt respect for tradition to provide wines of uncompromising quality. Bardolino pairs well with savory light Italian pasta dishes, vegetable entrées such as melanzane alla parmigiana (aubergines parmesan style), light meat dishes and fresh cheeses. It has to be drunk within a few months, since it does not keep long due to its organoleptic features. In addition other grapes used in a lower percentages are the Molinara with a 10% that can achieve a 20% and the Negrara usable at a maximum of 10%. Elegant and vibrant, it’s deliberately unoaked so you can expect fresh red-fruit flavours with notes of violet and white pepper. Bardolino Frescaripa, produced with the traditional Veronese grapes Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara in the Bardolino Classico area, is a light red with intense aromas thanks to the beneficial climate of Lake Garda.

The family's roots lie in Fumane di Valpolicella, as this was the place where the prestigious Azienda Agricola was established in 1854. On the other hand the use of the Rondinella variety, another native variety from Verona, must represent between 5% and 40%.

The estate is situated quite close to the morainal hills of Lake Garda, and is blessed with southern exposure.

I participated in an online cheese and wine tasting during lockdown and one of the selected wines was a Bardolino.Amarone and Recioto, two of the flagship wines of Masi, are created from grapes that have been completely dried using the above-mentioned technique.
