About this deal

The Makita DMP180Z Inflator is powered by an 18v Li-ion LXT slide type battery to discharge up to 12 litres of air per minute, suitable for inflating cycle and vehicle tyres, sports balls and inflatable leisure equipment. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside. I have used this to inflate wheelbarrow tyres, car tyres and ride-on mower tyres and the drain on 4 or 5 amp LXT batteries is barely noticeable.

LONGER CHARGE LIFE: lithium-Ion batteries last 3-4 times longer than traditional Nickel-Cadmium batteries and their power storage lasts longer so they lose less power. The tool includes several valves for filling different types of products such as footballs, tyres, etc.

Personally, I wish Woods valves would just go away, but it worked really well on the one Woods valve in my fleet I haven't got round to replacing. Batteries equipped with quick release: the battery can be easily detached and pulled out from the machine by pressing the quick release button. The information collected is used to send you newsletters, targeted information regarding Makita ® products, and information about events in your area. The inbuilt pressure gauge readings are the same as their dedicated, and there are no problems with high pressures. The Makita 18v LXT Inflator offers higher maximum pressure than its previous models and stops inflating when the required air pressure level is reached.

The core functionality of the DMP180Z is excellent: it Just Works, and it makes inflating tyres an absolute breeze (no pun intended). LONGER LIFE: up to 3 times higher than nickel–cadmium batteries, reducing the need to recharge during long periods of use. I am really glad that I did, it does my tyres at a remarkable speed ,is accurate and with a very sturdy build quality like most makita products. The main switch is equipped with the Auto-off function to prevent accidental start-up during transportation, this not only protects the tools and other tools around it, but it also prevents the battery from discharging quickly. They mention that it is a perfect portable device, much faster than any other pump, and that it does the job required an easy to use. Especially useful after an earthquake for powering all sorts of things when the electricity and water gave been cut. Given that it's made to the same standards as Makita's other LXT tools – which are designed for fairly heavy use – I expect it'll happily cope with being banged around.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. The air compressor is supplied with an adapter for car valves, an adapter for bicycle valves, a needle adapter and an adapter for inflatables. The main switch is equipped with the Auto-off function to prevent accidental start-up during transportation, this not only protects the tools and other tools around it but it also prevents the battery from discharging quickly.

It can also be used to inflate air mattresses in seconds, which is very convenient because it simply saves a lot of time and is a better investment than any normal hand pump. The Makita DMP180Z 18v LXT cordless inflator has a built-in motor that delivers up to 120psi, easily inflating car tyres, sporting equipment and used for many more applications. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries.
